The weekend just ain't enough to complete all items in my to-do-list especially that half of it is not mine.
Saturday marked the end of August and the last day of sale at Robinson's. The day dawned so hot I found a perfect excuse to leave the house and cool off but not after so much rumination (cleaning the house which included transferring the useless sofa from the already crowded living room to the half-done porch). It was already past three in the afternoon when I found myself sitting on the bus for the one-hour trip to the big city.
There was bill payment to take care of, the quest for a desktop hard disk (not available) and shopping for maternity stuff (drawstring khakis for sis from Giordano and a big can of milk for the would-be-mom). Then the waiting began. Gurl one was a panelist at STI and Gurl two still needed to travel an hour to get to where I was. They arrived shortly after 6pm and by then I already finished my All Beef Combo from Taters which I enjoyed so much and was oh-so-ready for the Mortal Instruments.
We went in late (my birthday present for Gurl one btw) and I was shocked at what we have gotten ourselves into. It's not a bad kind of shock but more on "Oh! It's young adult fiction!" Hahaha! It was late so we never got around taking a peek on how it started. The opportunity for a repeat though presented itself the day after.
Sunday was a lazy affair, only because I made it so. If truth be told, more cleaning is in order, dogs to bathe and exams to prepare.
Being online somehow dictated how I should spend the rest of the day given that half of it has been spent idling already. I chanced upon Jing2 on FB and thought it would be the perfect time to hand her the Mary Kay stuff I was able to salvage from last week's tidying up. So we agreed to meet at the mall 3ish. I was nursing my cappuccino at Kuppa's when she arrived in a Sunday dress (cute girl). She has some vanilla gelato while going through the stash. It turned out that what I thought to be some eyeliners were actually lipstick brush. Tsk.
The afternoon had a little twist and she ended up in my company until it was time to go home. The spontaneity was refreshing. We sat there in Kuppa and talked about school and make up and graduation. At NBS, we looked for Ramon Bautista's "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo" to find that it was sold out and that I need to have a copy reserved, which I did. Somehow, we ended up watching "Mortal Instruments", grabbing some spicy chicken sandwich and shake, shake fries during intermission (we went in midway through the 3pm screening) talking some more. Then, the day ended so soon :)
