A lot of good happened yesterday as I went about to scores of work-related chores that required me to traverse three cities.
First stop was Bago City to pick up SSS report submitted last February. Since I was already there, I decided to pass by the city college to enquire about the requirements for the 18-units supplemental teaching certificate. Besides NSO Copy of the birth certificate, TOR and Transfer Credential which I already have in my stash of documents, I still have to secure a certificate of Good Moral. Oh, and I also needed to take an aptitude exam (scheduled every Friday) which I opted not to take as my list was already long for the day.
As expected, I had a hard time getting a ride to Bacolod. By the time I alit at HDMF, it was already 11:40 AM. My q number was 42 so I got confused as the monitor displayed 526. The guard explained that the number will revert back to 1 when it reaches 539 and so the long wait started. You have to give it to the cashiers. Between the two of them, they served 60 clients in an hour which is pretty impressive.
Earlier, I made arrangements with Junrey to have lunch together. As I finished late with my second errand, I took a taxi from Singcang to Lopue's East where he was already waiting. We took a Homesite jeep and asked to be dropped at the Tennis Court. During the short trip, a really odd guy across me started to ask Junrey about his phone: brand, specs, cost, if he could watch movies with it. It was very strange, I was able to breathe normally when he got off before we did.
What else to be had for lunch but "baby back ribs" which people go to Lord Byron's for. T'was my second trip. Those kids must be thinking about a lot of things at the time, our waiter forgot that I requested to have the BBQ separated from the meat. We had to remind him as well to serve our bevy. Tsk! No question though about lunch being filling :)
Back at the office, boss was around and she suggested that we use her car for our trip to TESDA. I took the offer right away. I was only too glad not having to wait outside for the rather scarce Pepsi-bound jeep, not to mention the multiple transport transfers and the heat of the afternoon sun.
Having private transport provided me with a different Talisay experience, with Lauro avoiding the major thoroughfare and passed through the city streets instead. Going back we took the Mountain view route from Lopue's Mandalagan to Circumferential road and took some pictures by Camella Homes entrance.
Back at the office for the second time, the boss ask me to stay for a long overdue TALK which lasted an hour.
It was already past 6pm when I was able to pick up the NC tarp (which Junrey edited) from the printers. I had to run to SM City to pay bills (Sun, Globe, PLDT) and bought an order of Calzone from Yellow cab to satisfy a long-time craving.
Happy, fulfilling day personally and professionally!!!
Again, thank God!
