an alternate getaway

it's mindboggling why the heat seems so unbearable when you're at home while nobody seems to mind it when at the beach? hmmm! after church today, i felt nauseous while under the shade of a tree waiting for a tricycle to pass my way. the pain between my eyes nearly made me throw up as if it would somehow alleviate the discomfort that i was feeling which i can attribute to nothing else but the stifling summer heat. it was a spur of the moment thought. coming here, i mean (you know where 'here' is). and it's worth every second of it. time to leave and face reality again.
