bella's memoir

It has been an arduous journey filled with bursts of joy and moments of worry.
Of her kind, she's the most affectionate which is a perfect foil to her being a fierce guard dog despite her muted barking and encumbered movement.
Only a year after being diagnosed of hip dysplasia, Bella now rests in peace amidst the garden wherein annuals bloom in unison as if on cue to bid her bye.
She was brought home while I was assigned offshore. I can still remember taking her from Mandalagan Animal Hospital where she had to stay for a few days for observation awaiting the X-ray result of her rear end.
Camera shy, she left very little tangible memory but she will always be remembered.

Grieved about a week ago for Waka, the akita-dobie pup i bought just recently. She was scheduled to get vaccinated but caught parvo virus a day before her scheduled vet visit. It really makes me sad to see her with all those IV tubes, injections, meds.. She now rests under the old mactan bridge.
i feel sorry for Bella.
